Home we are trying to Purchase in Rocky Ford, Colorado

These are more photos of our prospective home. If we purchase it we will likely be 6 months in Texas at Rio Grande Bible Institute and 6 months in Colorado for the near future.

The Home We are Trying to Purchase in Rocky Ford, Colorado

Since July we have been trying to purchase a home on 33 acres near Rocky Ford, Colorado. Our offer was accepted in July, but we have had to delay the closing 3 different times due to an issue of water rights. It looks like it should close sometime in December. We made a trip to Colorado to talk with the realtors. We also talked to the man who has horses grazing in the pasture. It was a profitable visit, and we also had good times of fellowship with our friends there.

Cotton Fields of Northwestern Texas

On our trip to Colorado we saw many, many cotton fields that were ready for harvest. We saw many cotton bales in the fields and the cotton gins. We had to stop and take some pictures. On Wed. night, Nov. 19, we stayed in Big Spring, Texas, and went on to Rocky Ford, Colorado, the next day.

Thanksgiving in Hutchinson

Don and I left on the 19th and went to Colorado for a few days to check on a house that we are attempting to purchase. Last Sunday we drove to Hutchinson to spend a few days and look at houses there in case the one in Colorado falls through. We spent Thanksgiving at Roger's house with 37 for dinner. There were 19 children even though their son Roger and family with their 4 children did not come. There were tables everywhere - a table in the living room for the boys, one in the kitchen for the girls, and a huge table in the dining room. Thanks, Roger and Mary, for including us in your Thanksgiving day.
June, I did get a picture of the play house with lights. I also took pictures of each of the 19 children, and I hope to be able to include them. When I started my blog it would not take text so I had to go to Edit Html. Now I will try to include pictures.
