Wow, a long trip can sure tire a person out. We are slowly catching up, but so many things yet to do. The swelling in my legs and feet has finally gone down after 3 days of Lasix 120 mg. But my legs still hurt. I never heard back from the Dr. so assume the lab tests were o.k.
Last eve. we went to Mexico to take pictures at a quinceneria (sp) a 15 year old girl's coming out party. It started at 4:00 and we left after 8:00, but it will have gone on for many hours yet. They asked us weeks ago to come and take pictures.
We forgot to take our passports to Mexico. We had carried them everywhere in Peru, but guess we felt like we were home and didn't need them. At the border we showed them our drivers's licenses, and they didn't say a word about not having our passport. Praise the Lord, we didn't feel like staying in Mexico.
We are having great problems getting my pictures downloaded from the memory card. We had gotten a new camera from Wal-Mart before going to Peru. They assured us that we had 30 days to see if we liked it - said to take it to Peru, take lots of pictures and then decide. We I didn't like it too well so on Thursday we took it back - day 30. But we had not downloaded our pictures, thinking I could just put the memory card in my old camera and download through that. Not, so. Don took the memory card to Wal-Mart to try to make CD's. The machine wouldn't read the card. So he had to buy the returned camera back. Got it home, and we still could not download the pictures. Finally he got them on to our lap top, but we can't print from it. At least we have them there. Trying again to download them on the desktop, we discovered that out of 1200 pictures, now there were only 2 on my memory card.
The next dilemna was taking pictures in Mexico. So we got another new camera. We have looked and looked for the memory card we were to use in that. We were working with it Friday eve. and Sat. it was just gone. So I again used the one I used in Peru and hope we can download them. Their whole purpose of having us take pcitures was so we could pring them and put them in an album.
Anyway, I do plan to try to get some pictures on our blog. It seems so many thnigs have gone wrong since we are home. The Lord answered so many prayers along the way in Peru, but things have not gone as smoothly since our arrival home. Please continue to pray for us and for the results of our presence in Peru.
